Tanner, a native of Door County, Wisconsin integrates his past experiences with sport as a catalyst for his passion and approach to sport psychology consulting with his teams and athletes. As an athlete all his life, Tanner’s personal experience with mental skills training helped him understand the importance of developing proper physical, emotional and mental strategies for consistent athletic performance. With his background as all-conference multi-sport athlete in high school, Tanner competed in collegiate baseball as a two-time all-conference player in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) in his playing career. Since then, Tanner has provided mental skills training to many youth, high school, collegiate and elite athletes, coaches, youth sports academies, collegiate athletic programs and members of the military all over the US, to increase their ability for desired success.
Professionally, Tanner uses his background in sport psychology, and experience with injury and rehabilitation during his playing career; to individually tailor mental skills that foster a dynamic mindset in athletes he works with. Tanner’s desire and approach to consulting seeks to help the athlete effectively understand themselves physically, mentally and emotionally to obtain peak performance. Tanner has brought his sport psychology knowledge to individuals in a variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball, and darts. Aside from consulting, Personally, Tanner is an avid darts player and enjoys playing softball and going to the beach!
