Erik Supplee

- Erik Supplee is one of the most successful pitchers to come out of Williamsburg in recent history. Supplee is a 2003 graduate of Jamestown High School where he compiled a 25-6 record over three years in helping lead the Eagles to three conference tournaments, two regional berths, and one state tournament appearance. In 2002 Supplee went 9-4 and helped the Eagles march through the Region I playoffs to the school’s only trip to the AA state tournament in baseball. His Jamestown career culminated in his senior year when he went 10-1 with a 1.20 ERA and was named first team all-district in the Bay Rivers District and the Virginia Gazette player of the year.
- Supplee completed his high school career by receiving a scholarship to play at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. During his time with the Red Foxes, Supplee helped his team to three conference playoffs, one regular season championship, and one conference tournament championship that led to a trip to the NCAA playoffs at Louisiana State University in 2005. Supplee compiled a 19-10 record with a 4.15 ERA in 76 appearances for Marist over his four year career. While at Marist, Supplee played summer baseball in the prestigious Valley Baseball League in the summers of 2005 and 2006. He played for the Luray Wranglers in 2005 helping the team to the North Division regular season title. Supplee went 3-2 with a 2.79 ERA that summer for the Wranglers.
- After his playing career, Supplee began coaching at Millersville University in 2007-2008 where he worked with the outfielders, assisted with the pitchers, and coached first base for the Marauders. While at Millersville, he helped the program turn a 9-37 squad into the PSAC East regular season champions. That summer Supplee coached in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League for the Lehigh Valley Catz where he served as the pitching coach. That summer, the Catz pitching staff led the league in ERA (2.78) and opponent’s batting average (.223). The Catz were also the 2008 Wolff Division regular season champions.
- In the 2008-2009 season, Supplee joined the coaching staff at Longwood University as the pitching coach. Supplee helped the program to its second winning season since moving to Division I in 2002 with a record of 26-22. Under his tutelage, a pitcher from Longwood signed a contract with a Major League Baseball organization for the first time in the history of the program. In the summer of 2009 he served as the pitching coach for the Covington Lumberjacks of the Valley Baseball League. That summer the Lumberjacks ended the season as the runners up for the Lineweaver Cup.

“I have spent the last 10 years coaching numerous youth sports with a main emphasis on youth baseball and basketball. My main focus has always been on teaching young athletes true fundamentals of their respective sports in order for them to not only become better players but also to prevent injuries during the season and also for future seasons. I spent 2 years on the Board of Directors and League Coordinator of South Burlington Youth Baseball. Growing up I was offered a tryout with the Cincinnati Reds organization as a catcher and afforded the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. I spent my summers attending pitching-only baseball camps as a catcher, learning the fundamentals and techniques from seasoned professionals from the youth, high school, collegiate and professional ranks to help me manage and improve my team’s pitching staff. I pride myself on giving top quality instruction to our youth in a manner that they improve their skills and truly want to continue playing the sport(s) from tee-ball up through Majors.” - Korey Mason
