Do you offer services in person and via tele-therapy?
We offer our services in person at our Williamsburg office and online via tele-therapy to Virginia residents. This allows us to make our services more accessible to our clientele as they can securely receive counseling with select therapists online using our enhanced video and phone service.
Do you accept health insurance?
We are currently in network with most major health insurance plans including:

- Cigna
- United Healthcare
- Optima
Can I self-pay even if I have insurance?
Yes. Many of our clients prefer to self-pay for their sessions as one of the benefits is that your services do not get billed to an insurance company which allows for complete confidentiality when seeking therapy services.
Our Team of Therapists
Meet Lori Lindsey
Lori Lindsey White, LPC, NCC is a Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She has 15 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Her career has included work with the 31st District Court Service Unit as a Juvenile Probation and Parole Officer, Intensive In-Home Counselor for Youth and Families, High School Mental Health Counselor, Private Practice Therapist specializing in Adolescents and Families, Adult Forensic Intensive Community Therapist, and Residential Family Therapist for Adolescent Girls with Eating Disorders.
Lori’s counseling approach is based on the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model, or ACT. ACT is a form of psychotherapy that helps people focus on the present, resolve issues from the past and move forward from overwhelming, difficult emotions. It is drawn from behavioral analysis, and uses techniques such as values clarification, mindfulness, cognitive diffusion, acceptance, and commitment methods to help client’s grow into their authentic selves. Lori’s passion is with helping others be the best version of themselves.
Meet Katie Martin
Katie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of roles including counseling, intensive in home and community based work, and school-based work. Among a range of therapeutic approaches, Katie utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy while incorporating play and art therapy techniques.
Katie has experience working with anxiety, depression, self esteem, impulse control, emotional awareness and expression, social skills, as well as past and current stressors. She strives to provide a comfortable and accepting environment in order to promote growth and empowerment
Meet Kai Laird
Counseling & Therapy Background
Kaimare, known to many as Kai, was born and raised in the southern most isles of the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago. Devoted to supporting others grow and overcome any challenges they face, Kai began his career within the field of mental health as a clinical therapist in 2013 for the Threshold’s Young Adult Program based in Chicago, Illinois. Since then, Kai has gained experience in a variety of clinical roles, which includes clinical supervisor, community based counselor, therapeutic day treatment counselor, program director and outpatient therapist. Kai is currently a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia and is the program director of Integrative Health at the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex. Dedicated to helping other professionals grow and pursue a career within the field of counseling, Kai has also mentored and taught graduate students at Northwestern University and Holy Names University.
Sport & Performance Psychology Background
Passionate about sports and assisting others reach their full potential, Kai has worked with hundreds of athletes and coaches across the U.S. since 2012 ranging from DI colleges, soccer academies and national sport organizations. Kai is also a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), which is the gold standard for certification in the field of sport & performance psychology. Besides consulting with athletes & coaches, Kai has presented his work in the field of sport psychology in various national & state conferences such as the Illinois Counseling Association, United Soccer Coaches Convention, the Annual Sport Psychology Conference, and the National Coaching Conference. Currently, Kai is the Director of Performance at The Performance Pursuit, which is a sport and performance psychology consulting company that supports individuals, teams, and organizations pursue excellence within sport, exercise, and career.
Meet Marie Cadden
Marie is a born and raised Southern girl and now a recent transplant to Virginia. Marie is a licensed clinical social worker in both Virginia and Georgia and has 22+ years’ experience working with children, parents, and adult women in all stages of life. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Additionally, Marie has experience working with anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, divorce issues and life stressors. In addition to EMDR and TF-CBT, Marie also utilizes a solution focused approach and encourages her clients to pursue a holistic approach to health- incorporating exercise, proper sleep and nutrition, spiritual practices, healthy relationships, and enjoyable activities.
